Description
Drop in direct replacement 3-lug barrel for your Springfield Kuna. As compared to the factory Kuna barrel with a thread on type 3-lug adapter installed, our integrated 3-lug barrel is -0.3″ shorter in overall length, but with +0.7″ more rifling (shorter OAL barrel system, yet higher velocity). Functional ball end cuts at the muzzle act as carbon scrapers cleaning your suppressor mount each time you twist on/off. No moving parts or threads, just a simple bomb proof solution for anyone tired of checking torque on their muzzle devices or thread protectors (HK Navy style design).
Chambered in 9×19 with a twist rate of 1:10. Made from 4140 Chromoly and finished in black nitride. Designed and Manufactured completely in USA. 922r Compliant. Please note there is a specialized tool required to remove and re-install the factory barrel nut. If needed we do make a tool here: Kuna Barrel Nut Tool. Torque spec on the Kuna barrel nut is 55ft*lbs plus Loctite 620.
Due to the wide range of possibilities on muzzle devices and similar interfacing components we always recommend that you verify fitment and alignment of all parts after final assembly. Regardless if you use our parts or those made by other companies, its always a good idea to triple check your setup before live fire.

Received the barrel and the recommended tool today. You will NEED the tool 100% if you don’t already have one. The process to install the new barrel can be challenging without the appropriate hand tools. T10 torx head bit with a slim extension rod is necessary. I recommend an 8in extender to be safe. The barrel nut tool requires a 7/8in socket or wrench. I tried getting if off by hand, I’ve done many barrel installs and couldn’t get it off which resulted in me using the impact and giving it a few ugga duggas and the nut came off just fine afterwards. The screws used by Springfield will strip easily if not using a quality T10 torx.
I plan to shoot suppressed 90% of the time and that is why I elected to go with the 3-lug barrel instead of the 3-lug muzzle device.

Installed yesterday. Youtube has a walktbough video for installation. Test fired great! The kuna barrel tool also sold by HBI is a must have. Many thanks

I really like the barrel so far! It was extremely hard to get the original barrel off to install this one without a vice, and impossible if you don’t have the tool! My only complaint is so far my dead air Mojave 9 is a little loose so I’m hoping it doesn’t effect performance or lead to baffle strikes.
