Description
Use this tool to install or remove an HK style 3-Lug adapter on any barrel. Each tool is compatible with both 9mm (small bore) and 45ACP (large bore) type 3-Lug adapters. Tool is designed to be coupled with a 1″ wrench or used with a socket extension to install a 3-Lug adapter “blind” under a handguard or barrel shroud, where the location of the 3-Lug adapter does not allow the use of a wrench or direct driver. An example would be the installation of a 3-Lug adapter onto a pistol length barrel under a carbine or rifle length handguard. This tool is machined from steel and zinc plated for a maintenance and corrosion free life.

Hi, we used to offer both “tall” and “short” 3lug tools; but discontinued the “short” style because the “tall” tools were far more popular. The “tall” tools were/are more popular because when used with a socket they allow 3lug adapters to be installed and removed from short barrels inside of hand guard shrouds. The “short” version did not.

Short uses a 1″ socket. Long, however, does not. You’re going to need a 27mm wrench to get on it since it’s .06″ larger than anything you’ll have in an imperial set. Given that tri-lug adapters are rather standardized and shorter than the long adapter, I wish it had a 3/8″ or 1/2″ box at the end so you could throw this on any ratchet/torque/breaker rather than needing yet another wrench to lock it down. Or, alternatively, at least one pair of opposite sides at 1″.

Just received mine today and grabbed my 1″ socket and torque wrench to properly torque 3-lug adapters on two firearms. This tool fit and worked perfectly!

I love running my EVO suppressed, direct thread is fine but I always worry about F’ing up the threads on my can. With the 3 lug device, I can quickly swap between multiple firearms and know that my suppressor is right so I don’t shred baffles. This tool is the only way to get a 3 lug on an EVO, with the longer hand guard, and torque to the correct specs. It is quality made and works just as described. Do yourself a favor and just buy it, I will use this installing any 3 lug, on any firearm, because the torque wrench fits right on the socket. Easy 5 Stars.
Side note: I have purchased a number of products from this company and they never disappoint. I have yet to send anything back and shipping is always good. Packaging is great and items are shipped fast. (The good ol’ USPS may take their sweet ass time but HB gets orders out the door fast.)

Got this to remove a stubborn Rugged 3 lug adapter off my CZS3+ Micro. Long story short, I should have never have put it on there since nothing, except my Rugged Suppressor worked with it. I’m pretty good at researching how to do something so I was trying to figure out how to remove the handguard. Everything I found applied to the Evo so I was unsure if it would apply to the 3+. I purchased all my upgrades through HBI and it has been great. So when I can across information about this tool I said hallelujah…and of course its an HBI creation! Worked like a charm removing the old and installing the new 3 lug adapter. Just for good measure, got HBI’s CZ Scorpion Barrel Nut Tool, just in case. Great stuff and fast shipping!! Couldn’t ask for anything more!
